Dog Facts

Origins
Some of dogs at Home for Life® were surrendered by owners from far and wide who have sought out the sanctuary for it's purpose and special care.

Others were referred to Home For Life® by other rescue groups and shelters from around the country who know us and support our cause.

Home for Life® provides care for retired working dogs, dogs with special needs, old and infirm dogs, dogs with temperament issues, and dogs that can not be adopted into the traditional family environment.

A day in the life...
In the sanctuary, we currently house about 95 dogs in multiple doggie townhouses and apartments. No dog at HFL is caged. The apartments and townhouses have huge windows, heated floors, and piped-in soothing music. They are filled with warm beds, toys, fresh food and water. All dogs have access to outdoor fenced dog runs.
